Rincon Puerto Rico Wedding Ideas: Taino Centerpieces
We have lots of brides who are going to have a destination wedding in Puerto Rico that are looking for a way to incorporate some Puerto Rican traditions or native touches into their decor or ceremonies. This was one of my favorite centerpiece settings from a bride last winter. We found a ceramic plate with a engraved Taino Indian symbol on it (the Taino Indians are the native inhabitants of Puerto Rico) to add a special touch to the centerpiece.
The plate looked almost like stone and was engraved very simply with the symbol – it was a very rustic touch that was still simple enough to use on a centerpiece and not distract too much from the overall look and feel of the table. The red orchids on the napkins added a nice pop of color.
I thought this was a great way to incorporate Puerto Rico into the wedding and was something very unique that you probably wouldn’t have seen at any other wedding.
